TV Pilot update
Katie and her family recently taped part of the interview portion of the TV Pilot tentively titled
Gearhead Nation.
It made for a long afternoon at Beachwood Studios.
Race News update for Saturday, Sept 25, 2004. Katie made it to the semi-final round!
Race News update for Saturday, Sept 18, 2004. Katie had a great day at the races, going to the final round her first time out in the car! It was a cool day in the 50's & 60's with beautiful, clear skies. There was quite a bit of wind, 20+ mph at times. Chilly, but it must have worked!
We started at 7:30 am with a camera crew at our home to interview us & put wireless mikes on us. Katie was "thrilled" to be awakened by Bob followed by a camera man & sound man!
They followed her all day. The bathroom was the only safe place (as long as she remembered to shut off the microphone).
The crew had another segment to shoot after Katie's but they couldn't leave. She just kept winning! They finally got to leave after she was awarded the runner-up trophy at about 8 pm.
Saturday, Sept 11, 2004 We had a test & tune day @ Quaker City this afternoon. We were all quite pleased with the car's performance. With a little more tuning she should be at the top of Jr Pro.
Taping is scheduled for this Saturday, Sept 18. We are hoping we aren't postponed by Hurricane Ivan, which is expected to head our way with 30 mph winds & copious amounts of rain.
